Sea Museum

Sea Museum

Human have learned many things from nature and specially from animals. Animals have taught us hunting, caring, tricks and defending. I used to go, along with my dad, to a zoo when I was kid. I enjoyed that a lot because of nature made me relax and chill. lions were so strong and scary, specially whet they roared; however, fox was my favorite one. The zoo was small and did not show sea animals. So, I was excited when the professor announced about the Shedd Aquarium filed trip because we don’t have that kind of museum into my country. Also, my friends had told me a lot about it. I Knew it was going to be a good day.

I had a lot of interests so I woke up early at the day of the trip. we supposed to leave the college around 12 p.m. but the professor was so into the lecture and forgot the sense of time so we arrived late. We took the red line train, I did not agree but had to follow, to the museum campus. The museum was so big. It has two levels basement and main. We could only access to the main one which was not as exciting as the basement level. It was divided into seven sections; Rivers, Islands and lakes, local Waters, Oceans, Amazon Rising, and Caribbean Reef. Among all these section, I liked two things.

First, bullet ants that was in amazon rising part. I have heard stories of ants and how can destroy an entire city. Also, who has heard of king Solomon and his ant army that had been unbelievable and scary for me. But I am sure that is totally true after seeing that ants. These are among the biggest ants you will ever see, and among the most powerful. To defend themselves and subdue prey, bullet ants use a fiery sting, inflicting pain that’s been compared to a gunshot wound. They live in some area of united states and few countries in South America. I don’t want face them at all.

Second, the big vessel that had animals from Caribbean Reef. That one was in the middle of the museum, and the most exciting one for good reasons. There was a diver who dived to feed many kinds of fish, such as sharks, squad, sea snake, turtles, and various types of fishes. Imagine all those animals together in one place and not hunting each other’s, it is a wild life. That means wild animals could live together without violence. On the other hand, humans could not live together without violence, so maybe human could learn something from these animals.
In conclusion, I hope that we have the same museum in my country; it would be a good idea to build something like that in my country. I really enjoyed visiting it, and I recommend everyone go to that museum. I am so happy to go to that museum because I saw new animals such as monkeys.
